I have been repairing instruments since 2017 under the mentorship of renowned woodwind repairer, David Fingerhut, based in North London.
Alongside a successful career within IT and Business Change, I have enjoyed a lifetime of music making, training as a classical saxophonist and achieving a Masters in Music Performance from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2000. I performed as a regular member of Nigel Wood's National Saxophone Choir, have played baritone sax with the Hertfordshire Big Band and more recently joined a saxophone quartet in North London. I also enjoy singing bass baritone with the Castle Choir in Berkhamsted.
In addition to my apprenticeship with David Fingerhut, I have participated in a series of specialist courses with the Trevor Head School of Musical Instrument Repair in Llangunllo, Wales. I am a professional member of NAMIR (National Association of Musical Instrument Repairers).
My main aim is to achieve customer satisfaction, making repairs that enable the performer to give their best and bring their instrument to an optimal performance state.
